I had a last minute trip to pick up some kittens and due to the travel involved required to spend the night before travelling back on trains. I called the hotel to confirm the kittens would be fine which they verified with an extra £10 per pet charge which seemed fine especially given the hotel room cost was already lower than others in the area. I was very pleasantly surprised to see how nice the hotel was. The reception area was nicely decorated and clean. The room itself was great and managed to sleep fine, excluding a wake up call from the kittens. The bathroom was also perfect for giving the kittens some supervised outside of carrier time as no gaps or anywhere for them to damage. Bed was comfy. I only had a brief stay and arrived in dark and left in morning (lots of kitten watching in the bathroom) so did not get a chance to explore the area. It was a 25 minute walk from station which was tricky as few road crossings but taxis only £5 and they have an app you can use for taxis estimates. The sea view I briefly saw in morning and very short walk from hotel.

Fantastic hotel. Great location on the seafront. It was lovely having our breakfast looking out over the sea. Room was OK, only criticism was there had been 2 holes in bathroom door which had been patched in but other than that couldn't fault the hotel. The breakfast was very good. Selection of fresh fruit salad, yoghurt, croissants, toast, full Scottish breakfast or you could choose what you wanted, different types of eggs,beans on toast. It also has its own car park but there is a free car park just across the road from the hotel if you can't get in the hotel one. Would definitely recommend the hotel.

The hotel was great, with nice staff. The sleep I got was fantastic. I tried to get the mattresses into my case, but they would not fit. The only thing that would stop me from going back was the breakfast, it was horrendous, the sausages were cheap, the potato scones looked like they were done in a deep fryer, horrible, masty, soggy, the only good thing on my plate was the egg, they have to improve the breakfast 100 % but overall the hotel was great, as Im disabled I could not have a shower because there was no handrails in the shower so had nothing to hold on to they have to look into this and fit rails in their rooms

Lovely to overlook the sea, only 10 mins from the town and 2 mins to the beach. Beautifully decorated for Christmas and lovely festive menu. Dogs welcome, but not intrusive if you're not a dog parent! Spotlessly clean everywhere and very accommodating staff. Room was toasty and you can control he radiators yourself. Practical shelving in the bathroom amd easy to use shower. Looking forward to returning in the summer for a longer stay.

Everything really! Great location overlooking the sea and ten minutes walk to the town. Friendly and helpful staff. Particular mention to Zoe who looked after us brilliantly at dinner in the Hotel restaurant, both nights we were there and accommodated our food requests with no problem. Room clean and comfortable, with adjustable heating controls and an excellent shower.
